Melt chocolate over hot water. Set aside. |

Mix together the melted chocolate, oil and sugar. |

Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. |

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add this gradually to the chocolate mixture. Add vanilla. |

Cover bowl and put into refrigerator for 24 hours. |

Use a teaspoon to scoop dough into the size of a small walnut. Roll in hand to form a ball; then flatten with the palm of the hand; dredge thoroughly in powdered sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. |

Bake at 350° for about 6 minutes. Cookies puff up a bit and then flatten out when cool. Let them cool a minute before removing from cookie sheet. |
