For icing: |

Light brown sugar, firmly packed |

Combine oil, sugar and eggs together. |

Add the apples and pecans. |

In separate bowl, sift then measure the cake flour. |

Add the soda and salt and sift 2 or 3 times more. Add to first mixture. Stir well; add vanilla. |

Grease and flour four (4) 9" layer pans. Divide batter amongst the four and bake at 325° for 35 minutes. |
For icing: |

Heat butter and brown sugar on low. |

Add condensed milk and let come to full boil. Remove from heat and cool. |

Add vanilla. |
