Nora and I had steaks in Scottsdale at a place called Cowboy Ciao that used an espresso rub. This is not their recipe but one that comes pretty close. Sounds a little strange, but you won't believe how good it is. |

2 Tbs |

Espresso or dark roast coffee |

1½ Tbs |
|
Red chile powder |
|
2 tsp |
|
Garlic salt |
|
2 tsp |
|
Oregano |
|

Grind all ingredients in a hand coffee grinder. |

Rub on steaks 30-60 minutes before grilling. |

Drizzle steaks with olive oil before grilling. |
