This is a dish served by "Grandma" Isabelle at many of her buffets, luncheons, etc. The result is delicious! |

3 jars (1 lb ea) |

Sweet and sour red cabbage |

6 Tbs |
|
Sugar |
|
2 Tbs |
|
Red currant jelly |
|
1½ cups |
|
Dry red wine |
|

|
Place all ingredients into saucepan. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is mushy (approximately 1-1/4 hours to reach this consistency). |
