Eggs, beaten |

Candy orange slices |

Beat the eggs until light. |

Add the brown sugar, shortening, flour, salt and baking powder, and mix well. |

Cut the candy orange slices into four or five pieces, sprinkle the flour over them and toss lightly to separate. Add with nut meats to the prepared batter. |

Spread in a greased and floured jelly roll pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. |

Cut in bars while warm and roll in powdered sugar. |
