Sliced almonds |

Mix oil and sugar; add beaten eggs, vanilla, almond extract and orange peel. Blend thoroughly. |

Combine flour, salt, cinnamon and baking powder. Add to oil mixture; add almonds. |

Roll into ropes the size of a 3/8" sausage (you may need a little flour to roll). |

Place on greased cookie sheet; bake at 325° for 40 minutes or until golden color. |

Remove and slice on an angle into 2-1/2" lengths. Place cut side up and return to oven 10 minutes to brown (watch closely at this point.) . |
